Last night, the Television Academy held the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony at the Peacock Theater just one night after the Critics Choice Awards. It was in downtown Los Angeles to honor outstanding achievements in television programming and individual accomplishments during the 2022-2023 season. The event was broadcast live on the FOX Television Network and hosted by Anthony Anderson. The night was filled with excitement, glamour, and memorable moments, featuring a lineup of presenters, cast reunions, and surprise guests that included some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Christina Applegate, Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Taraji P. Henson, and many others who graced the stage.





During the show, Anthony Anderson’s opening performance was accompanied by Travis Barker on drums. Later, Charlie Puth and The War and Treaty performed a touching “In Memoriam” segment, which included a heartfelt rendition of “See You Again”/”I’ll Be There For You” (Friends theme).

“The Bear” was the winner in the comedy category, and Quinta Brunson was awarded Outstanding Lead Actress for her role in “Abbott Elementary.” The gripping drama series “Succession” secured multiple wins, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Kieran Culkin, and Outstanding Lead Actress for Sarah Snook. The comedic brilliance of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” shone through, earning it the accolade of Outstanding Scripted Variety Series. Additionally, Lee Sung Jin’s work in “Beef” was recognized with wins in both the writing and directing categories for a limited or anthology series or movie. The inclusive and groundbreaking “RuPaul’s Drag Race” continued its reign as the Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
