ALF Returns With 38th Anniversary Streaming Marathon

Shout! TV presents ALF original broadcast marathon.

Shout! TV is gearing up to celebrate the 38th anniversary of the classic 1980s sitcom ALF with a marathon of original broadcast episodes on Sunday, September 22. Fans can enjoy six full-length fan-favorite episodes of the wise-cracking alien Gordon Shumway, better known as ALF, starting at 5 p.m. PT on WatchALF.com and Shout! TV. The marathon will feature some of ALF’s most memorable moments. It includes his quick wit, wild antics, and appearances by notable guest stars like Fran Drescher, Ed McMahon, and Cleavon Little.

The marathon kicks off with “Help Me Rhonda” at 5 p.m., followed by “Come Fly with Me” at 5:30 p.m. Fans will also be treated to the two-part “Tonight, Tonight” at 6 and 6:30 p.m., ALF’s Special Christmas at 7 p.m., and rounding out the evening is “Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades” at 8 p.m. These episodes highlight ALF’s best moments as he navigates life with the Tanner family after crash-landing in their garage.

The series originally aired from 1986 to 1990.

It was created by Tom Patchett and Paul Fusco, who also provided the voice and puppeteering for ALF. The show follows the adventures of Gordon Shumway. He is an alien from the planet Melmac who becomes a permanent, albeit chaotic, resident of the Tanner household. ALF quickly became a pop culture sensation. He is known for his sarcastic humor, love of junk food, and constant attempts to eat the family cat, and his appeal continues to this day.

Beginning September 1, all original broadcast episodes of ALF will be available to stream on-demand on Shout! TV. A new generation can now experience the alien’s antics while long-time fans can relive the magic. The 38th-anniversary marathon promises to be a nostalgic trip back to the heyday of ‘80s television, featuring the show’s hilarious blend of family comedy, slapstick humor, and heartwarming moments.
