Expanding the World of House of David with Moses
Created by Jon Erwin, the filmmaker behind House of David and Jesus Revolution, The Old Stories: Moses explores the narratives that shaped Israel long before David rose to the throne. The story unfolds through epic moments of courage, struggle, and obedience that echo across generations.
“Moses is one of the most iconic figures in history, and his story still resonates with us today,” said Erwin. “We set out to tell The Old Stories: Moses with a cinematic awe and scale that feels both epic and personal. I am especially proud of the cast performances, and I can’t wait for people to see it on Wonder Project.”

The project builds on the growing momentum of House of David, offering audiences deeper context into the legacy and faith that influence the future king’s journey.
Ben Kingsley Leads Epic Biblical Cast
Kingsley portrays Moses, a leader whose story continues to influence faith and culture worldwide. Fagbenle stars as Pharaoh, the powerful ruler who opposes Moses during one of history’s most pivotal conflicts.
Additional cast includes Louis Ferreira as Jesse, Anna Khaja as Zipporah, and Rada Rae as Avva.

The casting highlights a blend of acclaimed performers and rising talent, helping bring emotional depth and dramatic tension to the historical narrative.
Creative Team and Production Details
Erwin directs, writes, and executive produces the three-part special. Executive producers include Jon Gunn and Justin Rosenblatt for Wonder Project. Gavin J. Behrman serves as co-executive producer, with Adam Abel producing.
By expanding the timeline introduced in House of David, the project aims to deliver both a standalone epic and a meaningful companion story. The narrative connects themes of faith, leadership, and legacy that continue to resonate today.
