Blue Beetle will be in theaters on August 18th.
Xolo Maridueña, known for his role in Cobra Kai, takes the lead in the upcoming DC movie Blue Beetle. This will be the first time the DC Super Hero will appear on the big screen and the film is directed by Angel Manuel Soto. The star-studded cast also includes Adriana Barraza, Damían Alcázar, Elpidia Carrillo, Bruna Marquezine, and Raoul Max Trujillo, as well as Susan Sarandon and George Lopez. Synopsis
Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate, returns home with high hopes for his future. However, he quickly realizes that things have changed since he left. As he tries to figure out his place in the world, fate intervenes. Jaime discovers an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab. The Scarab chooses Jaime to be its host, granting him an extraordinary suit of armor with unpredictable powers. Jaime’s destiny is forever altered as he becomes the Super Hero known as BLUE BEETLE.
