Top Gun Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski directs F1.

The full trailer for F1, the adrenaline-fueled new film starring Brad Pitt, has officially dropped. We finally get more looks at the action ahead of its exclusive theatrical release on June 27.
From Apple Original Films and the powerhouse creative team behind Top Gun: Maverick, F1 promises an immersive, high-speed ride through the world of elite racing. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film features real Grand Prix footage and an all-star cast that includes Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem.
Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former racing prodigy whose promising career was cut short by a devastating crash in the 1990s. Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny is now a drifter in the world of motorsport. His former teammate, Ruben Cervantes (Bardem), calls him back to Formula 1, and he now owns a failing racing team.

The trailer teases high-speed drama both on and off the track as Sonny joins the struggling outfit in a final attempt at redemption. He’s paired with rising star Joshua Pearce (Idris), whose raw talent and hunger to win may either reignite Sonny’s glory—or push him out for good.
The film was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends.
F1 blends cinematic storytelling with real-world spectacle, aiming to deliver an authentic Formula 1 experience. Kosinski reunites with longtime collaborator Claudio Miranda as director of photography. Ehren Kruger penned the screenplay, with Daniel Lupi serving as executive producer.
Adding further authenticity is the involvement of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. He joins the producing team alongside Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman.
F1 races into theaters on June 27.
