Cillian Murphy will play the Atomic Scientist in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’.
Christopher Nolan will be delivering a biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer. It stars Cillian Murphy, who plays Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist credited with being the “father of the atomic bomb” when involved with the Manhattan Project. The current cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Alden Ehrenreich, and David Krumholtz.
Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is based on the 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer. It was written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. Oppenheimer is currently filming in New Mexico and will hit theaters on July 21st, 2023.
