DC and Marvel extend crossover comics into 2026.

DC and Marvel are extending their rare and historic crossover publishing initiative into 2026, giving fans both a nostalgic return and brand-new stories featuring two of the most iconic superheroes of all time.
A Legacy Honored: Treasury Edition Facsimiles
The year-long event kicks off with two facsimile editions from DC, spotlighting the original Superman and Spider-Man crossovers. On January 7, 2026, DC will release Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1, a reproduction of the groundbreaking comic first published in 1976. Then, on February 4, 2026, DC will reprint DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1, bringing Marvel’s Treasury Edition #28 back into print for a new generation of readers.

These oversized Treasury Editions (10 1/8” x 13 5/16”) were originally landmark releases. It united DC’s Man of Steel with Marvel’s Wall-Crawler for the very first time. Their return is part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man.
New One-Shots Coming in Spring 2026
After revisiting the classics, both publishers will introduce fresh crossover stories. In March 2026, DC will publish Superman/Spider-Man #1, followed by Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April 2026. Each one-shot will feature original stories starring the legendary heroes, with creative teams to be announced at a later date.
A Celebration of Comics’ Enduring Power
This ongoing crossover between DC and Marvel marks a rare collaboration between two of the industry’s giants. The initiative is designed to both honor the shared legacy of past team-ups and inspire a new era of creativity. With comic book readership continuing to grow across generations, these releases emphasize the cultural relevance of superheroes in 2026.

By uniting Superman and Spider-Man again for both classic reprints and all-new adventures, DC and Marvel are ensuring that the world’s greatest heroes continue to inspire fans—old and new—for decades to come.
