Doctor Who season two trailer showcases epic new journeys.
Disney+ has released a thrilling new trailer for season two of Doctor Who, teasing an array of adventures across time and space for the Doctor and his new companion, Belinda Chandra. The highly anticipated season, set to premiere April 12, will take viewers on a journey from the futuristic 51st century to the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest and even into an animated universe—a first for the long-running sci-fi series.
Season two of Doctor Who debuts Saturday, April 12, at 12:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT on Disney+ where available. In the United Kingdom, the series will air exclusively on BBC and BBC iPlayer. The eight-episode season will roll out weekly.
The Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, meets Belinda Chandra, portrayed by Varada Sethu, and embarks on an epic quest to return her to Earth. However, a mysterious force prevents their return, forcing the time-traveling duo to face immense dangers, formidable enemies, and unexpected terrors.
The upcoming season stars Gatwa as the Doctor, Sethu as Belinda Chandra, and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. The ensemble cast includes Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Rylan Clark, Alan Cumming, Anita Dobson, Freddie Fox, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, and Susan Twist.
Russell T Davies serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Additional executive producers include Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter. Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf in partnership with BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer.
