Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation Brings Disney Villains to Life in a New Anime Adventure

Twisted-Wonderland, a new anime adventure, arrives this Fall.

When a high school student is whisked away to a world of magic, he must steer clear of danger and work with his classmates to return home in Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation. The new anime series will premiere on October 29 exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu.

The Enchanted World of Twisted-Wonderland

In the enchanted world of Twisted-Wonderland, seven legendary figures known as the Great Seven have been immortalized. Each draws inspiration from an iconic Disney Villain: the Queen of Hearts, the King of Beasts (Scar), the Sea Witch (Ursula), the Sorcerer of the Sands (Jafar), the Fairest Queen (Evil Queen), the King of the Underworld (Hades), and the ThornFairy (Maleficent). Their legacies shape Night Raven College, an elite academy for mages where each villain’s influence inspired a magical dormitory.

Yuken Enma’s Journey

Unaware of this history, Yuken Enma, an ordinary high school student from Tokyo, suddenly finds himself transported into this strange new world. Lacking magic, unfamiliar with the customs, and struggling to fit in, Yuken becomes entangled in misadventures with his troublesome new classmates, Ace and Deuce. His journey grows more dangerous when he risks incurring the wrath of the Rose-Red Tyrant, Riddle Rosehearts.

Disney Expands Its Anime Library

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation is the latest Japanese anime to join Disney+, following titles like Star Wars: Visions. With Hulu on Disney+, bundle subscribers also have access to a growing anime lineup, including Murai in Love, The Fable, Go! Go! Loser Ranger!, and the recently released Cat’s Eye.

Step into a world of magic and mischief when Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation debuts October 29, streaming exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu.
