Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is hitting theaters in the USA starting August 18th. Tetsuro Kodama directs it. Dragon Ball’s original creator Akira Toriyama is deeply involved with this feature film and was part of developing the original story, screenplay, and character design. The phenomenon began in 1984 when Japan’s well-known manga from Toriyama premiered in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump. Watch the trailer below.

Synopsis

Son Goku once destroyed the Red Ribbon Army. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes.” They start attacking Piccolo and Son Gohan. What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!
