The Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, best known for directing Avengers: Endgame, return with an ambitious new project, The Electric State. This sci-fi epic takes audiences on a breathtaking adventure through a retro-futuristic version of the 1990s. Michelle, played by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, is at the center of the story. Determined to find her missing sibling, Michelle sets off on a perilous journey through the American southwest with Cosmo as her guide.

Joining Michelle on her quest is Keats. He is a scrappy smuggler played by Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World), and his wisecracking robot companion, Herman, voiced by Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). Their travels lead them to the Exclusion Zone, a desert enclave where robots have created their own vibrant society. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of animatronic allies and uncover a sinister conspiracy tied to Christopher’s disappearance.

The film has a star-studded ensemble cast.

It includes Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, and Stanley Tucci. Rising talent Woody Norman and Hollywood heavyweights like Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk lend their voices to the film’s eclectic lineup of robotic characters.

The Electric State features a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The are the writing duo behind Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.
