Superman & Lois Star Elizabeth Tulloch is hosting a Milk-Bone movie night.

Elizabeth Tulloch knows a thing or two about iconic roles — and she knows Superman’s story can’t be told without Lois Lane. As the star of Superman & Lois, Tulloch has spent years bringing the Daily Planet’s sharpest reporter to life, but she’s also a huge dog lover who couldn’t be more excited to share her Superman journey with some four-legged friends.
A Childhood Crush Leads to Superman
In our recent conversation, Tulloch shared a sweet story about how she first discovered Superman while growing up overseas. “I was in Uruguay, and there was this little boy named Andrew who was obsessed with Superman — and I was obsessed with Andrew!” she joked. “He’d wear Superman shirts every day, so that was my intro to the whole world.”
Decades later, Tulloch now sits firmly in the Superman history books herself, something she says still feels surreal.
Finding Her Version of Lois Lane
When asked what makes Lois Lane such a timeless character, Tulloch lights up. “She’s tough, determined, feisty and funny — you just can’t tell Superman’s story without Lois,” she said. She credits the show’s grounded storytelling and her on-screen chemistry with co-star Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent) for making fans fall in love all over again.
“We’d never even met before we shot,” she said. “But our casting director just knew we’d work great together. That dynamic really mattered.”

Superman & Lois even made history by showing the couple as parents for the first time in live action. “Having kids in the mix brought real vulnerability and new stakes. It made the show feel different — and special.”
Saying Goodbye to Superman & Lois
Though the series finale has aired, Tulloch looks back with pride. “The whole cast and crew were amazing. Vancouver was beautiful to film in. Tyler and I still see each other at comic cons — he’s like family.”

And while she admits she’s still protective of her version of Lois, she’s excited to watch the new Superman film. “When I see it at the Milk-Bone screening, it’ll actually be just the second time I’ve watched anyone else play Lois and Clark besides the Donner films,” she said.
Krypto, Milk-Bone and a Screening for Dogs
The upcoming dog-friendly Milk-Bone screening is about to make superhero movie history of its own — and Tulloch can’t wait. “I’m such a big dog lover,” she said. After losing her disabled French bulldog Henry in 2020, she and her husband recently adopted Marvin, an adorable pug rescue.

Marvin will be at the screening, too — cape and all. “It’s his first time at the groomer before his big debut,” she laughed. “It’s going to be so cute. I’m picturing all these pups in capes, little popcorn buckets filled with Milk-Bones… when Krypto shows up on screen, they’ll all go wild!”
Tulloch even brought her own Milk-Bone Superman box home for Marvin — proving you’re never too big or small to be a hero.
What’s Next for Tulloch
So what’s next for this real-life Lois Lane? Tulloch is keeping busy with new projects, including The Pirate King with Billie Lourd and Jordana Brewster, plus a film called Nickels hitting theaters later this year. And she’s definitely not done with superheroes just yet. “I’d love to do more,” she teased.
For now, she’s happy to celebrate this next chapter with her fans — and their furry sidekicks. Some heroes wear capes, but the best ones make room for their dogs, too.
