Sam Levinson’s Euphoria Season 3 adds Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA, and more guest stars.

HBO unveils the highly anticipated Euphoria Season 3 trailer and announces the official release date. The eight-episode third season of the HBO original drama series debuts Sunday, April 12, from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes will roll out weekly.
Sam Levinson created the series and returns as writer, director, and executive producer for Season 3. Zendaya also returns, leading the cast of the Emmy-winning drama. The series continues its partnership with A24. Euphoria is one of the most-watched series in its history. The first two seasons earned 25 Emmy nominations, including nine wins.
Season 3 Story Focus and Returning Cast
Season 3 follows “a group of childhood friends” as they grapple with faith, redemption, and evil. The description points to bigger moral questions. It also hints at characters seeking meaning after a major change. Season 3 series regulars include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow.
The returning lineup also includes Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace.
Season 3 returning guest stars include Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, and Alanna Ubach. The list also includes Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.
New Guest Stars Join Season 3
Season 3 adds a deep bench of new guest stars, led by Sharon Stone and ROSALÍA. The incoming roster also includes Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Anna Van Patten, and Asante Blackk. It continues with Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, and Christopher Ammanuel.
Additional names include Colleen Camp, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Eli Roth, and Gideon Adlon. Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, and James Landry Hébert also join.
The list keeps growing with Jeff Wahlberg, Jessica Blair Herman, and Justin Sintic. It also includes Kadeem Hardison, Kwame Patterson, and Madison Thompson. Matthew Willig, Meredith Mickelson, and Natasha Lyonne appear as well. Priscilla Delgado, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell also join.
The new guest cast also includes Smilez, Trisha Paytas, Tyler Lawrence Gray, and Vinnie Hacker.
A New Look at Film
Season 3 also brings a major technical swing behind the camera. The season was shot on a new KODAK motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm. Levinson and cinematographer Marcell Rév worked closely with Kodak to commercialize the new stock in each format.
Season 3 is the first narrative TV series to shoot a significant amount of 65mm film. The larger format aims to expand the image on screen. That scale reflects the characters’ move beyond high school life.
Euphoria Season 3 premieres April 13th on HBO.
