Amy Lee and Evanescence drop “Afterlife” for Devil May Cry Soundtrack.

Evanescence fans have a new reason to celebrate. The band’s latest track, Afterlife, is set to be featured alongside Netflix’s upcoming animated adaptation of Devil May Cry. The song, co-written by Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee and Alex Seaver of Mako, will feature multiple times throughout the series.
Co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz and Seaver, Afterlife will be released by Netflix. It will be available on all major audio streaming platforms at midnight. The full soundtrack for Devil May Cry is scheduled for release on April 3.

The highly anticipated Devil May Cry animated series is spearheaded by showrunner Adi Shankar. It will premiere on Netflix on April 3, 2025. Produced by Studio Mir, the series boasts a star-studded voice cast. It includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, the late Kevin Conroy as VP Baines, and Chris Coppola as Enzo.

The show is based on Capcom’s iconic video game franchise.
Devil May Cry follows Dante, a demon hunter-for-hire who finds himself caught in a battle between human and demonic realms. Unbeknownst to him, the fate of both worlds rests on his shoulders as sinister forces conspire to open the gates of Hell.

Afterlife, with its cool mix of gothic rock and chilling melodies, is set to match the dark and action-packed vibe of the series perfectly. Evanescence, famous for songs like “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal,” are really making a name for itself by adding its unique sound to the world of anime-inspired adaptations.
Netflix’s Devil May Cry and its accompanying soundtrack, featuring Afterlife, will be available starting April 3, 2025.
