Disney’s Freakier Friday Hits Theaters August 8th.
Disney has officially released the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Freakier Friday. It is the long-awaited sequel to the 2003 hit Freaky Friday. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, the film is set to hit theaters exclusively on August 8, 2025.
In Freakier Friday, Curtis and Lohan reprise their iconic roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. It picks up years after their original body-swapping mishap. Now, Anna has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter, adding even more complications to her life. As they navigate the chaos of blending families, Tess and Anna find themselves once again caught in an unexpected identity crisis—proving that lightning can strike twice.
The film is directed by Nisha Ganatra and is based on Mary Rodgers’ beloved novel.
The star-studded cast includes Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
With nostalgia at an all-time high and a new generation ready to experience the magic, Freakier Friday is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Disney releases of 2025.
