Jack Cutmore-Scott and Jess Salgueiro return for Frasier’s highly anticipated second season, alongside Kelsey Grammer in his iconic role as Dr. Frasier Crane. The new season, premiering Thursday, September 19 on Paramount+, will debut with two episodes. This season follows Frasier as he returns to Boston to face new challenges, form new relationships, and revisit an old dream. The show will also see him return to his radio roots at KACL in a Seattle-themed episode.

I spoke with Jack Cutmore-Scott and Jess Salgueiro about what it means to be part of the revival series and how Grammer has impacted them. Watch the interview below!

Jack Cutmore-Scott, who portrays Frasier’s son, Freddy, brings a vibrant energy to the cast. Cutmore-Scott initially gained attention for his leading role in the 2017 series “Deception,” where he played Cameron Black, a magician turned FBI consultant. Recognized for his charm and wit, Cutmore-Scott has also appeared in “Kingsman: The Secret Service” and “Tenet,” showcasing his versatility in both film and television. His portrayal of Freddy in “Frasier” marks a shift towards exploring family dynamics, allowing him to delve into a more grounded, emotional character.

Jess Salgueiro, who plays Eve, the neighbor of Frasier and Freddy, has established herself as a rising star. Salgueiro has been involved in several high-profile projects, including her role as Chandra Wei in The Expanse and Isabel in Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy. Her diverse acting portfolio also includes appearances in Y: The Last Man and Workin’ Moms. Salgueiro’s portrayal of Eve brings a refreshing new dynamic to Frasier, adding layers of complexity and warmth to her character.

Nicholas Lyndhurst reprises his role as Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy, while Toks Olagundoye plays Olivia, head of the university’s psychology department, and Anders Keith portrays Frasier’s nephew, David. The second season of Frasier introduces new characters and storylines that delve into themes of family, legacy, and personal growth. The series maintains its classic blend of wit and sophistication, with Cutmore-Scott and Salgueiro offering fresh perspectives to enrich the Crane family’s story.
