Lance Reddick Spoke About Playing Zeus On The Percy Jackson Disney+ Series

I recently had the opportunity to interview Lance Reddick for his movie, John Wick: Chapter 4. During our conversation, he shared his enthusiasm for involvement in the Percy Jackson series. Reddick talked about the passion and excitement of the fandom, comparing it to the popular Harry Potter series. He expressed his genuine excitement to portray the character of Zeus, a powerful and authoritative figure. Reddick felt a strong connection to the role when he received the offer.

The series is based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by Rick Riordan.

It is about the titular character’s adventures, played by Walker Scobell. Percy embarks on a dangerous mission, where he must evade monsters, outsmart gods, and travel across America to recover Zeus’ master bolt, preventing a catastrophic war. The story begins after Percy’s mother passes away, and he finds refuge and challenges at Camp Half-Blood, a haven for children of demigods. Unbeknownst to him, Percy learns about his demigod identity, which exposes him to a world of peril as he confronts his foes in pursuing the Underworld.

Reddick’s portrayal of Zeus will be one of the series’ highlights.

His performance will add a layer of sophistication and authority to the ensemble cast. The actor’s deep, resonant voice and commanding presence make him a natural fit for the role of the king of the gods.
