The Sixth Sense Celebrates from M. Night Shyamalan celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

Two of M. Night Shyamalan’s most iconic thrillers, The Sixth Sense, and Signs, are coming to 4K UHD for the first time. Moviegoers can experience the upgraded visuals and sound in 4K UHD digital on August 27th and 4K UHD Blu-ray disc on October 22nd.

Both films have undergone a significant restoration process. The original negatives were scanned at 4K resolution and restored in High Dynamic Range (HDR). This new format promises to enhance Shyamalan’s distinct visual style, delivering more detail, depth, and vibrant color to these atmospheric films. Alongside the individual releases, an exclusive bundle from digital retailers will be available on August 27. This bundle includes The Sixth Sense in 4K UHD, Signs in 4K UHD, and another Shyamalan classic, Unbreakable, also in 4K UHD.

Released in 1999, The Sixth Sense remains a career-defining film.
It celebrates its 25th anniversary this month. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. It is best known for its unforgettable twist ending, one of the most famous in movie history. The psychological thriller stars Bruce Willis as Dr. Malcolm Crowe. He is a child psychologist helping young Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), a boy who can see and communicate with the dead. Toni Collette delivers a powerful performance as Cole’s mother. The film’s mix of suspense, emotion, and supernatural intrigue continues to captivate audiences.

Signs, released in 2002, further cemented Shyamalan’s reputation as a master of suspense.
The sci-fi thriller stars Mel Gibson as Graham Hess. He is a former priest turned farmer who lives with his family in rural Pennsylvania. When mysterious crop circles appear in his fields and worldwide, Graham and his brother Merrill (played by Joaquin Phoenix) suspect something otherworldly is at play. The film explores themes of faith, loss, and family as the Hess family prepares for what could be an extraterrestrial invasion.
Fans of these Shyamalan classics will want to take advantage of this opportunity to own them in 4K UHD. Whether revisiting The Sixth Sense and its ghostly twist or experiencing the suspenseful dread of Signs, the upgraded releases offer a new way to enjoy these films.

Don’t Forget Unbreakable
The Sixth Sense and Signs will be available in an exclusive bundle, including Unbreakable. These releases mark a new chapter for Shyamalan’s thrillers. It allows longtime fans and new viewers to experience them like never before. The latest from Shyamalan TRAP is now in theaters.
