Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date for the highly-anticipated series Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, set to debut on Wednesday, October 16. The show kicks off with a bang, releasing three episodes on its premiere date, followed by one new episode weekly. NFL legend Travis Kelce will host this 20-episode Amazon MGM Studios Original series, promising to bring a fun, fresh twist to the beloved game show format. Fans in over 240 countries and territories worldwide will be able to stream the series exclusively on Prime Video.

This eclectic group of celebrities promises to bring humor, wit, and a few unexpected moments of brilliance to the classroom.

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is a fresh take on the original Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, which first aired in 2007 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The original series, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, challenged adults to answer questions from elementary school subjects with the help of a group of fifth-grade students. It was a humorous yet humbling experience for many contestants who often found themselves stumped by questions they hadn’t thought about since childhood. The show’s simple yet brilliant premise captivated audiences, leading to multiple seasons, international adaptations, and a special place in the hearts of game show fans.

In this new iteration, the game show flips the script.

It places a group of celebrities in the classroom.
