On Christmas Day, Nickelodeon and CBS Sports are teaming up to bring you a fun-filled football game, the NFL Nickmas Game. Alongside CBS Sports’ coverage on The CBS Television Network, Nickelodeon will broadcast the game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders at 1:00 PM ET. As always, the special slime-filled telecast will entertain the whole family. In preparation for the NFL Nickmas game, we spoke with Dylan Schefter and Micah Abbey, who play important roles in bringing the magic to life.
Dylan Schefter is a remarkable 15-year-old with a television and sports reporting career.
She serves as an interview correspondent for Nickelodeon’s half-hour weekly series, NFL Slimetime. She conducted her first on-camera interviews at the age of eight at the ESPY Awards in 2017 and has since worked on various platforms. In 2019, Dylan became the New York Jets’ correspondent and covered unveiling their new uniforms, interviewing each player. Her work further expanded in 2020 when she conducted sit-down interviews with Big East basketball coaches for a segment called “Dylan’s Sweet Corner” on Fox Sports.
Micah Abbey is known for his role as Donatello’s voice in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
He will be showcasing his talent in the NFL Nickmas Game. He began his career at nine with a role on Grey’s Anatomy. Since then, he has appeared in various Nickelodeon productions, including Cousins For Life as Leaf. Micah’s television credits include Action Nat and the Cat, Bunk’d, and Meet the Voxels. Micah will play the role of Donatello during the NFL Nickmas Game, where he will explain penalties throughout the broadcast. This adds an extra layer of excitement for fans as the worlds of animated characters and live sports merge in a unique way that only Nickelodeon can deliver.
The Nickelodeon NFL Nickmas Game is set to offer a range of special features. They will enhance the viewing experience for fans of all ages. Upgraded cannons will shoot slime, snowballs, pizzas, and presents, creating a whimsical atmosphere within the stadium. Live augmented reality (AR) festive decorations will add to the surroundings, with an updated virtual Nickelodeon blimp soaring throughout the venue. Animated characters like Santa, Yeti, and Snowball will also appear during the game, adding an extra layer of holiday magic.
The halftime presentation will feature a sneak peek of Rock Paper Scissors.
