ONE PIECE Season 2 Heads to Drum Island in 2026

Netflix reveals first look at Drum Island in ONE PIECE Season 2.

Netflix has officially announced that ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line, the second season of its hit live-action pirate adventure, will premiere on March 10, 2026. Alongside the date reveal, Netflix shared a stunning first look at Drum Island, one of the most iconic locations from Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga and anime.

A Return to the High Seas

The new season reunites fans with Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Taz Skylar (Sanji), Emily Rudd (Nami), and Jacob Romero (Usopp) as the Straw Hat Pirates continue their quest for the world’s greatest treasure. This next chapter takes them beyond the East Blue and into the perilous Grand Line—a legendary stretch of ocean filled with new adventures, strange islands, and dangerous enemies.

Created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix, the live-action ONE PIECE series has been a massive success, praised for capturing the heart of the original story while expanding it for a global audience.

Journey to Drum Island

In Into the Grand Line, the Straw Hats arrive at Drum Island, known for its talented doctors and unending winter. The snowy land is surrounded by tall, cylindrical mountains and crowned by the eerie Drum Castle—a fortress perched on the tallest peak of the Drum Kingdom.

“Drum Kingdom is a winter island. It’s our medieval Winterfell-style location, where you have this haunted-seeming castle at the top of a snowy mountain inhabited by someone the villagers say is a witch,” said co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum.

Though filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, where temperatures were far from frosty, the team brought in “piles and piles of fake snow” to bring Drum Island to life. “It tricks your brain,” Tracz added. “You’d get to set and feel like you should be cold, even though it was summer, because of all the fake snow everywhere.”

Setting Sail Again

As anticipation builds, ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line promises even higher stakes, breathtaking world-building, and deeper emotional arcs for Luffy and his crew. Fans can expect familiar faces, surprising new allies, and the introduction of key storylines that will push the Straw Hats closer to their ultimate dream.

The Grand Line awaits when ONE PIECE Season 2 premieres March 10, 2026, only on Netflix.
