PAW Patrol heads to a prehistoric island in The Dino Movie this August.

Paramount Animation and Spin Master Entertainment are unleashing a dino-sized adventure with PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, arriving exclusively in theaters on August 14, 2026. The latest big-screen installment expands the beloved franchise with a prehistoric twist, bigger rescues, and new music from the Backstreet Boys.
Directed by franchise veteran Cal Brunker, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bob Barlen, the film continues the cinematic journey that began with PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021) and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023). This time, the heroic pups venture into uncharted territory packed with dinosaurs, volcanic danger, and their most ambitious rescue mission yet.
A Dino-Sized Mission for the PAW Patrol
In PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, the team’s latest mission takes them far from Adventure City and into the unknown. After their ship is caught in a mysterious storm, the pups crash land on a remote tropical island populated by dinosaurs.
While exploring the island, the team meets Rex, a pup who has spent years surviving among the prehistoric creatures and has become an expert on everything dino-related. However, their discovery quickly turns into a race against time when longtime rival Mayor Humdinger attempts to exploit the island’s natural resources through reckless mining.

Humdinger’s actions trigger the eruption of a dormant volcano, placing the island’s dinosaurs and ecosystem at risk. The PAW Patrol must embark on a series of high-stakes rescues to protect the island, stop Humdinger, and prevent total extinction.
The film promises larger-scale action and emotional stakes as the pups face challenges unlike anything seen in previous entries.
Expanding the PAW Patrol Movie Legacy
Since making the jump from television to theaters, the PAW Patrol franchise has continued to grow in scope and popularity.
PAW Patrol: The Movie introduced audiences to an expanded cinematic world while exploring themes of confidence and teamwork. Its follow-up, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, elevated the action with super-powered abilities and a more epic scale.

PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie builds on that momentum by introducing dinosaurs, new environments, and an expanded cast of characters. The prehistoric setting allows the franchise to explore new storytelling possibilities while maintaining the heart and teamwork that fans expect.
Star-Studded Voice Cast
The film features a mix of returning talent and new voices joining the franchise. Mckenna Grace voices Skye, Rain Janjua voices Chase, Carter Young voices Marshall, Lucien Duncan-Reid voices Rubble, William Desrosiers voices Rocky, Nylan Parthipan voices Zuma, and Henry Bolan makes his franchise debut as Ryder.

Additional cast members include Terry Crews, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Hayden Chemberlen, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, and Snoop Dogg.
The cast continues the franchise’s tradition of blending recognizable talent with strong voice performances that appeal to both younger audiences and longtime fans.
New Music from Backstreet Boys
Music has played a key role in the franchise’s theatrical success, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie continues that trend with brand-new music from the Backstreet Boys called ‘Bottled Up.’ The addition signals another cross-generational element designed to resonate with both kids and parents who grew up with the iconic pop group.
Bigger Stakes, Bigger World
The prehistoric island setting allows the creative team to expand the scale of the franchise visually and narratively. Dinosaurs introduce new rescue challenges that push the pups’ teamwork and problem-solving skills further than ever before.
From erupting volcanoes to high-speed dinosaur chases, the film aims to deliver the biggest cinematic adventure yet for Ryder and the team.

With a growing fan base and continued box office success, the PAW Patrol films have become a major player in family entertainment. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie looks poised to continue that momentum when it arrives in theaters in August 2026.
