2025 SAG Awards: Full Winners List & Highlights from Netflix’s Big Night

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards provided a night of celebration. They honored the year’s standout performances in film and television. Hosted by Kristen Bell, the star-studded event streamed live on Netflix and featured memorable moments, emotional speeches, and unexpected laughs.

Major Wins and Standout Performances

Timothée Chalamet earned the award for Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, further cementing his status as one of Hollywood’s most versatile actors. Demi Moore took home Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role for her powerful performance in The Substance, marking a career-defining moment for the actress.

The evening’s top honor, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, went to Conclave, recognizing its ensemble’s exceptional work. Meanwhile, Kieran Culkin continued his hot streak, winning Outstanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role for A Real Pain. Zoe Saldaña secured Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Emilia Pérez.

On the television side, FX’s Shōgun dominated the drama categories, with Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai winning Outstanding Male and Female Actor in a Drama Series, respectively.

In comedy, Jean Smart proved once again why she’s an industry favorite, winning Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Hacks, while Martin Short claimed Outstanding Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in Only Murders in the Building.

Other notable winners included Colin Farrell (The Penguin) and Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer) in the TV movie or limited series categories. The Outstanding Stunt Ensemble awards went to The Fall Guy for film and Shōgun for television.

Memorable Moments and Viral Highlights

The night kicked off with host Kristen Bell delivering a playful Broadway-style parody of Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, poking fun at Hollywood’s obsession with reboots. The lighthearted opening set the tone for an evening full of humor and heartfelt tributes.

One of the most talked-about moments came from Kieran Culkin, whose hilariously unprepared acceptance speech left the audience in stitches. Meanwhile, Scream Queens took center stage in a tribute segment led by Jamie Lee Curtis, culminating in a surprise comedic introduction of Colin Farrell.

The emotional high point of the evening was Jane Fonda receiving the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award. The legendary actress used her speech to reflect on her decades-spanning career and advocate for social justice causes, earning a standing ovation.
