A new Scream chapter begins in 2026.

The official trailer for Scream 7 has finally dropped, marking the highly anticipated return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. Directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, the new film takes the slasher saga back to its roots while introducing a chilling new family dynamic that raises the stakes like never before.
Set years after the events of Scream 6, the story finds Sidney living quietly in a small town, far removed from the chaos of Woodsboro. But peace doesn’t last long. When a new Ghostface killer emerges, her darkest fears are realized as her teenage daughter (played by Isabel May) becomes the next target. Forced to confront her past once again, Sidney must fight to protect her family — and finally put an end to the bloodshed that’s haunted her for decades.
Returning Icons and New Victims
Alongside Campbell, Scream 7 reunites Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and introduces a fresh ensemble cast including Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.

The screenplay is co-written by Kevin Williamson and Guy Busick, based on a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt, with Williamson returning to the director’s chair for the first time in the franchise’s history.

A Return to Classic Scream
The trailer teases a more intimate, suspense-driven approach — echoing the paranoia and dark humor that made the 1996 original a cultural phenomenon. With Williamson reclaiming creative control and Campbell leading the charge, Scream 7 looks to close Sidney Prescott’s story with heart, horror, and a few meta twists fans won’t see coming.

Scream 7 slashes into theaters on February 27, 2026, promising a brutal and emotional showdown that could redefine one of horror’s longest-running franchises.
