Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Season 3 of its Emmy Award-nominated comedy “Shrinking.” The new season premieres globally on Wednesday, Jan. 28, with a one-hour season opener.
After that, Apple TV+ will roll out one new episode every Wednesday. The season will run through April 8, 2026. Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein, and Jason Segel created the series. The show has built a strong following through its mix of grief, humor, and messy growth.
Jason Segel and Harrison Ford Lead a Returning Ensemble
Season 3 brings back Jason Segel and Harrison Ford as the show’s anchors. The series also stars Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. The cast has helped the series land as both crowd-pleasing and critically respected. Apple TV+ also continues to position “Shrinking” as one of its signature comedies.
The first two seasons are now streaming on Apple TV+. That makes it easy to catch up before the January return.
What “Shrinking” Is About
“Shrinking” follows Jimmy, a grieving therapist played by Segel. He starts breaking the rules and tells clients exactly what he thinks. Those blunt choices ripple outward fast. Jimmy’s approach changes his patients’ lives, and it upends his own life too.
The show leans into consequences instead of tidy lessons. It also keeps its heart front and center, even when the characters spiral.
Guest Stars Grow Bigger for Season 3
Season 3 expands its guest roster with returning faces and new additions. Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders will appear again. The new season also adds Jeff Daniels. It also brings in Michael J. Fox, a multi-award-winning and iconic actor.
