New SMURFS movie brings classic characters back to the big screen.

The beloved blue creatures are returning to theaters in SMURFS. This is an all-new animated adventure. It is set to hit the big screen on July 18, 2025. Featuring a star-studded voice cast, the film follows the Smurfs on a high-stakes journey into the real world to save their leader, Papa Smurf.
When Papa Smurf, voiced by John Goodman, is mysteriously captured by the villainous wizards Razamel and Gargamel, the Smurfs must band together to rescue him. Leading the charge is Smurfette, voiced by Grammy-winning artist Rihanna, as she and her fellow Smurfs embark on an epic quest that will test their courage and redefine their destiny.
Directed by Chris Miller (Puss in Boots), the film boasts a screenplay by Pam Brady (South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut). The cast includes an array of Hollywood talent, with performances from James Corden, Nick Offerman, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, and Xolo Maridueña. The film also features Kurt Russell alongside John Goodman.

SMURFS aims to introduce a new generation to the whimsical world of the small, blue beings while delighting longtime fans. The film blends humor, action, and heart. OMG! I can’t wait to watch it!!! Also, the fact that Rihanna is voicing Smurfette is incredible! The style it soooo cool! First, it was ‘Smurfs 2’, then it was ‘Smurfs: The lost village’, then ‘The Smurfs’ and now it’s this one! To be honest with you I’m an actual Smurf fan, I THINK I finished 46 episodes of ‘The Smurfs’. I’m soooooo excited for the movie to realise.
