New Trailer Unveiled for Blumhouse’s “Speak No Evil”

James McAvoy stars in “Speak No Evil,” a new Blumhouse horror film.

Blumhouse Productions has unveiled the gripping new trailer for “Speak No Evil,” which will hit theaters on September 13. Known for chilling productions such as “The Black Phone,” “Get Out,” and “The Invisible Man,” Blumhouse is bringing forth another suspense thriller designed to captivate audiences.

The film centers on an American family invited for a weekend getaway at the picturesque country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation. What begins as an idyllic holiday quickly devolves into a harrowing psychological ordeal. James McAvoy (Split, Glass) stars as Paddy, the charismatic and seemingly hospitable estate owner. His unrestrained kindness, however, conceals a sinister and disturbing secret. McAvoy’s portrayal promises a riveting and intense performance, adding to his impressive repertoire of complex characters. Watch the trailer below!

Joining McAvoy are Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate, Halt and Catch Fire) and Scoot McNairy (Argo, A Quiet Place Part II), who play American couple Louise and Ben Dalton. Their 11-year-old daughter Agnes is played by Alix West Lefler (The Good Nurse, Riverdale). The Dalton family’s hosts include Paddy’s wife Ciara, played by Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, The Fall), and their silent, enigmatic son Ant, portrayed by newcomer Dan Hough.

It is directed and written by James Watkins.

He is known for his work on Eden Lake and the award-winning gothic ghost story The Woman in Black. The film is based on the screenplay of the 2022 Danish horror sensation Gæsterne. The original film garnered 11 Danish Film Awards nominations, equivalent to the Oscars in Denmark.

“Speak No Evil” will be a must-see for horror and suspense fans. It has a fantastic cast and is coming from Blumhouse Productions, so you know it must be chilling. Mark your calendars for September 13 and prepare for an unsettling journey into the depths of a psychological horror.
