In Squid Game, the character Seong Gi-hun is portrayed by actor Lee Jung-jae. In the upcoming season, Gi-hun changes his plans of escaping to the United States. Instead, he sets out on a mission driven by a compelling motive. Season 2 has familiar faces like Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-jun. A host of new talents will join the cast. It includes Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the Emmy-winning writer, director, and executive producer, is maintaining creative control over the trajectory of the Squid Game series. With his proven track record of delivering compelling storytelling, expectations for the new season are high.
