Forty years later, St. Elmo’s Fire still burns bright in 4K.

The iconic coming-of-age drama St. Elmo’s Fire is getting the ultimate home entertainment upgrade. To mark its 40th anniversary, the 1985 Brat Pack classic will release on 4K Ultra HD for the first time ever on June 24.

Directed by Joel Schumacher, St. Elmo’s Fire stars Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, and Mare Winningham. The film follows seven recent college graduates navigating adulthood, relationships, and identity while holding onto their bond forged at their favorite Georgetown hangout, St. Elmo’s Bar.
The story centers on the complex dynamics within the group.

Their intertwined lives reflect the confusion and excitement of post-college life in the 1980s.

The 4K Ultra HD release features the film scanned from the original camera negative. It is presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision. Audio options include English Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround, and 2-channel surround sound.
