Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith returns to theaters with 4DX experience.

Lucasfilm has announced the return of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith to theaters for a limited one-week engagement, beginning April 25, in honor of the film’s 20th anniversary. The highly anticipated re-release will be available in multiple formats, including, for the first time, 4DX.

The 4DX format enhances the cinematic experience with high-tech motion chairs synchronized with more than 21 immersive effects, designed to complement the film’s narrative and action sequences. Select international territories will also participate in the special theatrical run. As part of the anniversary celebration, renowned graphic artist Matt Ferguson has designed a new commemorative poster.
Originally released in 2005 this is the third Star Wars prequel trilogy installment.
The film takes place years after the onset of the Clone Wars, as the Jedi Knights lead the Republic’s clone army against the Separatists. Meanwhile, the Sith execute a long-planned plot to overthrow the Republic, leading to the rise of the Galactic Empire. Jedi hero Anakin Skywalker is central to the story, who succumbs to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader. As the Republic falls, Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are forced into exile.
The film stars Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Frank Oz, Jimmy Smits, Peter Mayhew, Ahmed Best, Oliver Ford Davies, Temuera Morrison, Anthony Daniels, Silas Carson, Kenny Baker, Samuel L. Jackson, and Christopher Lee. Star Wars creator George Lucas wrote and directed Revenge of the Sith.
The limited theatrical run begins April 25, allowing longtime fans and newcomers to experience the epic saga on the big screen once again.
