Universal Studios celebrates The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with Yoshi meet and greet.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are powering up their parks with special experiences celebrating Nintendo and Illumination’s highly anticipated film, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The limited-time celebration will take place from March 10 through April 13, 2026, bringing themed food, merchandise, character encounters, and immersive photo opportunities to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and Universal CityWalk locations.
The experience launches on MAR10 Day, a yearly celebration of Nintendo’s iconic character. Fans visiting the parks can enjoy exclusive offerings and activities leading up to the film’s theatrical premiere on April 1, 2026.
Yoshi Meet and Greet Comes to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
One of the highlights of the celebration is a special meet-and-greet with Yoshi, available for a limited time at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort.
The beloved dinosaur companion from the Mario universe will greet guests for photos and interactions inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. The appearance offers fans a rare opportunity to meet the character while celebrating the upcoming cosmic adventure of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The addition of Yoshi enhances the immersive experience inside the themed land, which already allows guests to explore interactive environments inspired by Nintendo’s legendary video game worlds.
Cosmic-Themed Treats Inspired by the Film
Guests can also fuel up with specialty snacks inspired by the movie’s galactic setting. Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe will introduce limited-time menu items inspired by the cosmic adventure of the upcoming film.
Among the featured treats is the Rosalina Cupcake. The dessert is a blue velvet cupcake filled with blueberry cheesecake and lemon buttercream, topped with a chocolate crown and star.
Another highlight is Galaxy Popcorn, a colorful berry-flavored popcorn topped with edible glitter. The sparkling snack captures the look and feel of Mario’s interstellar journey.
These limited-time treats will be available at select dining locations throughout the parks during the celebration period.
Exclusive Interactive Merchandise
Fans will also find exclusive merchandise inspired by the film. A standout item includes interactive shoulder pals themed to the Lumas from the movie. These first-of-their-kind accessories will be available in blue and yellow.
The shoulder pals feature lights and sounds. When two are placed close together, they communicate with each other, creating an interactive experience for fans exploring the park.
The merchandise will be available for purchase during the limited-time celebration.
Photo Opportunities at Universal CityWalk
The celebration will extend beyond the parks to Universal CityWalk in both Hollywood and Orlando.
Guests visiting CityWalk will be able to step into a themed photo experience inspired by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The vibrant installation will feature a galactic tunnel design that mirrors the cosmic environments seen in the film.
The setting offers fans a chance to capture memorable photos while celebrating the upcoming release.

Fans can also watch The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on the big screen at Universal CityWalk theaters.
The film will begin screening on April 1 at Universal Cinema at Universal CityWalk Hollywood and Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk Orlando.
