Meet the cast and relive the iconic film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hooper’s Restaurant in Kingsland, Texas, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They will be hosting a weekend full of special events. Owned by Austin restaurateur Simon Madera, known for Taco Flats in ATX, Hooper’s is located in the original house featured in the film, making it the perfect location to honor the movie’s legacy.

The celebration starts on Friday, Oct. 25, with live music and a spooky, *Texas Chainsaw Massacre-themed walk sponsored by the Kingsland Chamber of Commerce. On Saturday, Oct. 26, fans will experience a full day of horror-themed activities, including exclusive merchandise, raffles, and themed food and drinks. A spooky vendor market will also offer horror-inspired arts and crafts.

Saturday’s festivities will offer fans a rare opportunity to meet several original cast members from the film. Ed Guinn (Cattle Truck Driver), Teri McMinn (Pam), John Dugan (Grandpa), Bill Vail (Kirk), Ed Neal (Hitchhiker), and Allen Danziger (Jerry) will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Roger Bartlett, who wrote and performed the film’s song “Fool for a Blonde,” will also be on hand to sign autographs, perform live, and serve as the event’s MC.
Other highlights include a children’s costume contest, a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-themed costume contest for adults, and a special outdoor film screening on Saturday night. Limited-edition event merchandise will be available exclusively at the celebration. This 50th-anniversary event will immerse fans in the world of one of horror’s most iconic films while offering a unique blend of entertainment, food, and nostalgia.
