Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the fifth and final season of The Boys, teasing an explosive conclusion for the Emmy-winning superhero satire that has become one of streaming’s biggest global hits. The final chapter premieres April 8, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
The upcoming season launches with two episodes, followed by weekly releases leading to the series finale on May 20, 2026. Fans around the world will be able to watch the final season in more than 240 countries and territories as the story races toward its long-awaited conclusion.
A World Under Homelander’s Control
The newly released trailer hints at a bleak world where the balance of power has shifted dramatically. This time, it is fully Homelander’s world.
The tyrannical Supe now holds near-total influence, operating without restraint and bending society to his unpredictable and egomaniacal will. Meanwhile, the human resistance finds itself fractured and struggling to survive. Hughie Campbell, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a so-called “Freedom Camp.” Their capture signals how dire the situation has become for anyone who dares to oppose the Supes.
Elsewhere, Starlight attempts to rally a resistance movement against overwhelming odds as the power of the Supes continues to grow. Adding further uncertainty, Kimiko has disappeared, leaving one of the group’s most formidable allies missing as tensions escalate.
Butcher Returns With a Deadly Plan
As chaos spreads, Billy Butcher resurfaces with a plan that could end the conflict once and for all. However, the solution may be more terrifying than the problem.
Butcher proposes using a virus capable of wiping out every Supe on the planet. The idea sparks a dangerous chain reaction that could reshape the world permanently. As loyalties fracture and moral lines blur, the final season promises to push every character toward impossible choices.
