Rupert Sanders’ The Crow reimagining hits 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on November 5.
Lionsgate has released The Crow on digital platforms. Next up is its physical release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD arriving November 5. The remake is by director Rupert Sanders, who is known for Snow White and the Huntsman and Ghost in the Shell. This modern reimagining of James O’Barr’s iconic graphic novel stars Bill Skarsgård (It), FKA Twigs, and Danny Huston (Yellowstone).
The Crow follows the tragic love story of Eric (Skarsgård) and Shelly (FKA twigs). They are a couple brutally murdered when Shelly’s dark past catches up with them. Given a chance to avenge their deaths, Eric is resurrected as The Crow embarks on a path of vengeance to right the wrongs committed against them. Skarsgård takes on the iconic role, balancing the emotional weight of the character with the brutal action sequences fans of the original material expect.
The release will be available in various formats.
It includes a 4K Ultra HD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Combo Pack with exclusive SteelBook editions at Amazon and Walmart. Each retailer will feature unique artwork. Fans can also choose from standard 4K Ultra HD (+ Blu-ray + Digital), Blu-ray (+ DVD + Digital), and DVD editions.
The release will feature several bonus materials, offering fans an in-depth look at the film’s making. Key features include a six-chapter documentary focusing on the film’s origins, cast, design, and action sequences. There is also a tribute to producer Edward R. Pressman. Additional content includes deleted scenes, a theatrical trailer, and more.
Joining Skarsgård in the cast are Josette Simon (Wonder Woman), Laura Birn (A Walk Among the Tombstones), Sami Bouajila (The Siege), and Danny Huston. With its dark romantic themes, action-packed sequences, and powerful score, The Crow promises to be more in line with the original graphic novel.
