Lionsgate unveils The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes on Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
Lionsgate has officially announced the home releases of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.” The movie will be available for Electronic Sell-Through on January 30. The prequel is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel featuring a star-studded cast. It includes Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis. The movie, directed by Francis Lawrence, has already grossed over $325 million worldwide during its theatrical run. It is set 64 years before the iconic Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute. The story delves into the complex character of Coriolanus Snow as he navigates the 10th Hunger Games alongside Lucy Gray Baird.

Walmart will offer a special 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital SteelBook edition of the movie on the same day it is released. The SteelBook comes with brand-new artwork featuring the talented cast. Walmart will also release a 4K Ultra HD SteelBook 4-Film Collection of “The Hunger Games” movies. This exclusive collector’s item includes the original four films and showcases the stunning artwork of Katniss Everdeen and Coriolanus Snow.
The home release of has an exciting array of special features on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray formats.
The package includes over two and a half hours of content. It features an audio commentary with producer-director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson. The release also contains an 8-part documentary titled “Predator or Prey: Making The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of Panem. The DVD edition includes exclusive content like audio commentary, featurettes on music, costumes, casting, and the original song “The Hanging Tree” by Rachel Zegler.
Apple TV users can access special features such as a music exploration, a revisit to Panem, insights into the costumes and casting, and an exclusive letter to the fans. On Amazon Blu-ray, you can enjoy a unique experience with features like “Imagining a Retro Future: The Look of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and “The Arc of a Tyrant: Creating Coriolanus Snow.”
