Mofac Animation’s “The King of Kings” is seeking potential distributors.

Renowned actors Kenneth Branagh and Uma Thurman are set to voice the characters of Charles and Catherine Dickens in Mofac Animation’s upcoming film, “The King of Kings.” The animated family feature, inspired by a lesser-known story by Charles Dickens, revolves around the life and times of Jesus Christ. Branagh, celebrated for his adaptations of Shakespearean and Agatha Christie‘s works, plays Charles Dickens and embodies the conflicts the revered author faces. In a unique collaboration, Thurman, in her portrayal of Catherine Dickens, brings a blend of wisdom and compassion that complements Branagh’s depiction of a father torn between career aspirations and familial duties.

The story unfolds as Catherine suggests to Charles that sharing the tale of Jesus might bridge the gap between him and their son Walter, voiced by Roman Griffin Davis. This trio of talented performers infuses the characters with emotion, heart, and depth, driving the narrative of “The King of Kings.”

Producer Anfernee Kim praises the cast’s contributions.
Kenneth Branagh’s illustrious career includes an Academy Award for screenwriting “Belfast” and multiple Oscar nominations across various categories. Thurman, an Oscar nominee herself who starred in Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2004) and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2005), adds her expertise to the film. With his youthful energy and charm, Davis honed through his breakout role in “Jojo Rabbit,” bringing a fresh perspective to the film.

“The King of Kings” marks a departure for Branagh and Thurman, showcasing their versatility in animated storytelling. Directed by Seong-ho “Jay” Jang, the film promises a visually captivating experience, blending historical narrative with animated artistry. As Mofac Animation’s project nears completion, the inclusion of Branagh, Thurman, and Davis underscores the film’s ambition to bring a unique perspective on faith-based storytelling to audiences worldwide.
