The Mouse Trap is a brainchild of Into Frame Productions, directed by Jamie Bailey and starring Simon Phillips, known for his roles in Netflix’s FUBAR and Amazon Prime’s Age of The Living Dead. The film initially garnered massive attention when its teaser trailer was released on Phillips’ personal YouTube account on January 1, 2024. The teaser quickly went viral, amassing millions of views and sparking widespread interest in the horror community.

Simon Phillips is an award-winning British actor.
He is renowned for his roles in Netflix’s FUBAR and The Witcher Season 3. Phillips has received praise for his chilling portrayals in Christmas horror films like Once Upon a Time at Christmas and The Nights Before Christmas. He has shared the screen with stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, and Mark Hamill, showcasing his versatile talent in the film industry.
After its initial digital release on August 6, 2024, fans can expect to own it on DVD and Blu-ray starting tomorrow. One of the film’s most intriguing aspects is its use of the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse, which entered the public domain earlier this year. This is the first horror film to use the Mickey Mouse character from Steamboat Willie, and this team had so much fun with it all. Steamboat Willie’s Mickey Mouse murdering people is ridiculous, but they pulled it off.
