The Toxic Avenger teaser trailer unleashes mutant mayhem at Miss Meat.
The first teaser trailer for The Toxic Avenger has arrived. It offers a chaotic glimpse at the reboot of the 1980s cult classic. The reboot is directed and written by Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore). It stars Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) as the iconic mutant vigilante “Toxie.”
The teaser showcases the film’s offbeat humor and over-the-top action. Toxie wreaks havoc at Miss Meat, a fast-food restaurant with a questionable approach to food safety. The footage features Dinklage’s disfigured yet determined hero, dealing out justice gruesomely and absurdly.
Joining Dinklage in the ensemble cast are Kevin Bacon (Hollow Man), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Jacob Tremblay (Room), and Taylour Paige (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F). The film follows Winston Gooze. He is a downtrodden janitor who is transformed into a hideously deformed but powerful crimefighter after a toxic accident. With his son and his community at risk, Toxie must take on ruthless corporate overlords in a fight where justice is served radioactive.
Produced by Legendary Entertainment and distributed by Cineverse, The Toxic Avenger will hit theaters in August 2025. This movie is a wild, gory, and hilariously twisted ride that tries to pay homage to its Troma roots while embracing a modern, star-studded reimagining of the beloved B-movie hero.
