WWE SummerSlam Night One: CM Punk’s Title Triumph Ends in Seth Rollins Cash-In

Reigns and Uso reunite, Flair and Bliss strike gold at SummerSlam night one.

CM Punk’s first World Heavyweight Championship win in over a decade ended in heartbreak at WWE’s SummerSlam Night One. After surviving a brutal battle with Gunther, including multiple powerbombs and a devastating Sleeper Hold, Punk finally put The Ring General away with back-to-back GTS finishers.

But moments later, Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins made his way to the ring—apparently on crutches and wearing a knee brace. In a jaw-dropping twist, Rollins tossed aside the disguise and attacked Punk with the briefcase. After multiple strikes and a Stomp, Rollins cashed in to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, leaving the crowd stunned.

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso Reunite and “YEET” Their Way to Victory

“The Original Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns, reunited with Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a powerhouse tag match sponsored by Minute Maid.

Despite being cut off early, Uso kept fighting until he could tag in Reigns, who exploded into action with a huge dive. Breakker tried to finish the match with a Spear, but Reigns answered with a Superman Punch. The chaos continued with high-impact dives, top-rope bulldogs, and a crowd-erupting Spear through the barricade.

In the final moments, Reigns sacrificed himself by pushing Uso out of the way of a Breakker Spear. Uso then hit a Spear of his own followed by a Splash to pin Reed, giving the cousins the win—and a celebratory YEET.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss Win Tag Gold

In another high-stakes tag team match, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss dethroned Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The match was packed with momentum swings, near-falls, and wild tag chemistry.

Bliss attempted Sister Abigail early, but Perez countered. Flair connected with a double moonsault but couldn’t finish the match. After an accidental hit from Bliss to Flair, it seemed like the champs would retain following a Tejana Bomb and Pop Rox—but Bliss saved the match just in time.

Bliss landed Sister Abigail, and Flair followed with a Big Boot to seal the win and take home the titles.

Sami Zayn Triumphs Over Karrion Kross in Emotional Grudge Match

Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross clashed in a deeply personal match filled with raw emotion. Kross repeatedly demanded Zayn admit defeat, punishing him with brutal strikes and nearly using a pipe as a weapon.

But Zayn refused to stoop to Kross’ level. Rejecting the pipe offered by Scarlett, Zayn turned the tables with an Exploder Suplex and sealed the win with a Helluva Kick.

Tiffany Stratton Retains Her Crown Against Jade Cargill

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton proved she’s still “The Center of the Universe” with a hard-fought victory over Queen of the Ring Jade Cargill, in a match sponsored by Seagrams.

After dodging Cargill’s super Jaded attempt, Stratton landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain her title in one of the night’s most athletically intense showdowns.

Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre Take Down Jelly Roll and Randy Orton

Making his in-ring debut, Jelly Roll stepped into the squared circle alongside Randy Orton to face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. While the Grammy winner impressed with his grit, he took a brutal beating from the duo, including a jaw-dropping Frog Splash from Paul through the announce table.

Even after needing medical attention, Jelly Roll returned to the ring and delivered a chokeslam and a slam onto McIntyre. But the numbers caught up. After Orton hit an RKO, Paul landed the “Paul from Grace” on Jelly Roll for the win in a match sponsored by Slim Jim.

Stay tuned for Night Two of SummerSlam as the WWE Universe braces for more surprises, title clashes, and unforgettable moments.
