97th Oscars Nominations Announced: Full List of Nominees

Emilia Pérez leads the 97th Oscars with 13 nominations.

Actor-writer-comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang revealed the nominations for the 97th Oscars this morning from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The announcement was broadcast live via the Academy’s digital platforms, Disney+ and Hulu.

The nominees were revealed in two segments: the first at 5:30 a.m. PT, followed by the remaining categories at 5:41 a.m. PT.

Key Oscars Highlights

Academy members from 19 branches voted to determine the nominees in their respective categories. In select categories, such as Best Picture and Animated Feature Film, all voting members were eligible to cast ballots. This year’s nominees emerged from submissions by members across 93 countries.

The highly anticipated Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature Film, and Best Picture categories include some nominees with producer designations still to be finalized. The Academy will announce any additional nominees by early February.

Ceremony Details

The 97th Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The event will be broadcast live on ABC starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with streaming options available on Hulu. The show will also air in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Netflix’s Emilia Pérez leads with 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, and Best Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón. A24’s The Brutalist and Universal’s Wicked followed closely with 10 nominations each.
