In the movie “Abigail,” a group of criminals kidnaps a 12-year-old ballerina, thinking she is an easy target. However, they soon realize they have made a grave mistake as the girl turns out to be anything but ordinary. The movie is directed by the talented duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are known for their works in the horror genre, such as “Ready or Not” and the recent entries in the “Scream” franchise. “Abigail” presents an intense and thrilling take on the classic vampire flick, with much gore and action. The plot of this story is simple yet engrossing – the daughter of a powerful underworld figure, also a budding ballerina, is kidnapped by a group of criminals who seek ransom. However, the situation soon becomes a horrifying nightmare as they find themselves trapped inside a mansion with the young girl, who challenges the norms of innocence.

The talented duo of Stephen Shields and Guy Busick wrote the film. They are the creative minds behind projects such as “The Hole in the Ground” and the “Scream” franchise. “Abigail” also features a fantastic cast. Melissa Barrera, who is well-known for her roles in the “Scream” franchise and her recent firing, stars alongside Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and the late Angus Cloud. Alisha Weir plays the lead character, Abigail, bringing an additional layer of intrigue to the movie.

The directing team’s departure from the “Scream” franchise to take on “Abigail” has heightened anticipation for the new movie. Abigail” promises to be a relentless and harrowing journey, blurring the boundaries between victim and monster.
