Jack Black and Paul Rudd Face Giant Snake in Anaconda Trailer Debut

Anaconda, a comedy-action adventure, hits theaters on Christmas Day.

The first trailer for Anaconda has officially been released. It teases Jack Black and Paul Rudd’s wild jungle misadventure that combines comedy, action, and big-screen spectacle. The film is directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent). It is set to slither into theaters on December 25, 2025.

Revisiting the Original

The original Anaconda, released in 1997, became a cult hit despite mixed reviews, with its cast featuring Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, and Owen Wilson, who battled a giant snake in the Amazon. Known for its campy thrills and over-the-top danger, the film has remained a guilty pleasure for fans of creature features.

The Plot

In this new take, childhood best friends Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) decide to remake their favorite movie: Anaconda. What begins as a goofy midlife crisis project quickly escalates into real danger when an actual giant snake appears on their film set. Suddenly, the comedy they’re trying to make becomes a fight for survival.

The Cast and Creative Team

The film also stars Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. With Tom Gormican behind the camera, audiences can expect a sharp blend of absurd humor, action-packed sequences, and plenty of snake-fueled chaos.

Anaconda opens in theaters on December 25, 2025, giving fans a comedy-action adventure just in time for the holidays.
