Disney+ unveils Season 2 trailer For Star Wars’ “Andor.”

Disney+ has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer and poster for the second season of Lucasfilm’s Emmy-nominated thriller Andor, set to return for its long-awaited conclusion on April 22. The new season will continue the gripping tale of Cassian Andor as the stakes rise and the rebellion intensifies in the face of growing conflict.

Season 2 picks up with heightened tension and deepened relationships as Cassian becomes a key figure in the Rebel Alliance. With war on the horizon, characters will be tested, and as the stakes grow, the betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicting agendas will have significant consequences.
The series, rich in political intrigue and danger, is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which followed a group of rebels who stole the plans for the Empire’s Death Star, setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 Star Wars film.
Creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy expressed his excitement about the scale and depth of the story in the upcoming season.
“One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences,” Gilroy said. “Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in Season 2.”

The final season will unfold over 12 episodes, divided into four chapters of three episodes each. The first chapter will premiere on April 22, with the following chapters debuting weekly. Andor stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. Also starring are Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, Alan Tudyk, Ben Mendelsohn, and Forest Whitaker.

The series was created by Tony Gilroy. He serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, Luke Hull, and John Gilroy. Writers for the season include Tony Gilroy (episodes 1-3), Beau Willimon (episodes 4-6), Dan Gilroy (episodes 7-9), and Tom Bissell (episodes 10-12). The directors are Ariel Kleiman (episodes 1-6), Janus Metz (episodes 7-9), and Alonso Ruizpalacios (episodes 10-12).
Fans can look forward to Andor Season 2, premiering April 22 exclusively on Disney+.
