AnimeJapan 2026 Brings Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece to 50-Stage Lineup

AnimeJapan 2026 expands to its biggest show floor yet at Tokyo Big Sight

AnimeJapan 2026 is going bigger on every front. The event returns March 28 and 29, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight. Organizers say the convention previously drew more than 150,000 attendees.

This year, AnimeJapan will feature its largest exhibition area ever. The show expands beyond the East Exhibition Halls into the South Exhibition Halls and a Rooftop Exhibition Area. Organizers also confirmed participation from more than 120 exhibitors. That marks the most in the event’s history.

AnimeJapan also confirmed the return of its ambassador group. Sakurazaka46 will serve as AnimeJapan 2026 Ambassadors for a second straight year. The group will also appear at the “Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking 2026” awards ceremony. That ceremony is scheduled for March 4.

The big headline, however, is the stage programming. AnimeJapan KICK OFF 2026 debuted on the official AnimeJapan YouTube channel. The video revealed the full lineup for all 50 AJ stages.

The full 50-stage lineup highlights major franchise titles

AnimeJapan’s complete stage slate includes major titles across the industry. The lineup features Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, JUJUTSUKAISEN, ONE PIECE, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

Programming will run across four main stages. Those stages include RED STAGE, GREEN STAGE, BLUE STAGE, and WHITE STAGE. The schedule sets the table for high-profile panels, cast appearances, and live programming.

Tickets are on sale, with stage lottery options

AnimeJapan 2026 offers two main ticket formats. Fans can buy tickets with or without the stage lottery option. Each costs ¥2,500 per day. Tickets with the stage lottery option go on sale starting January 16, 2026, at 20:00 JST. Sales continue through February 24, 2026, at 23:59 JST. Stage program applications open February 27, 2026, at 10:00 JST. Applications close March 5, 2026, at 23:59 JST.

Tickets without the stage lottery option go on sale February 25, 2026. Sales run through March 27, 2026. Kids under 12 can enter for free. However, children under 12 need a stage lottery ticket to view AJ stage programs.

On-site features include cosplay, food, and returning attractions

AnimeJapan will bring back several popular areas. The event plans official merchandise tied to its key visual characters. Organizers will share more details later. The Production Works Gallery returns with a new theme. The 2026 focus is “Producer,” spotlighting a key role in anime production.

Cosplayer’s World also returns with expanded support. That includes facilities like changing rooms and cloakrooms. The AJ Food Park will feature 10 food stalls across the South and East halls. A collaboration food truck will also appear.

AnimeJapan will also run a Digital Stamp Rally again. The rally encourages fans to explore the venue and collect digital stamps.

Business Day and Family Anime Festa return alongside public days

Public days run March 28 and 29, 2026. The event uses Tokyo Big Sight’s East Exhibition Hall 4-8, South Exhibition Hall 1-4, and the Rooftop Exhibition Area.

Business Day follows on March 30 and 31, 2026. It will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight Conference Tower. Family Anime Festa 2026 will also run March 28 and 29, 2026. It will be held in Tokyo Big Sight South Exhibition Hall 1.
