Ariel Vromen directs the upcoming action-crime thriller 1992 and promises to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and star-studded cast. From executive producer Snoop Dogg, the film features Tyrese Gibson as Mercer. He is a father trying to rebuild his life during the tumultuous 1992 Los Angeles uprising following the Rodney King verdict. Alongside him is Christopher A’mmanuel, who portrays Mercer’s son as they struggle to reconnect amidst the chaos. Co-starring the late Ray Liotta in one of his final roles, 1992 presents an intense collision of two families whose strained relationships reach their breaking point.

In the film, Liotta and Scott Eastwood play a father-and-son duo planning a heist to steal catalytic converters containing valuable platinum from a factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise across Los Angeles, their dangerous scheme unfolds against the city’s civil unrest backdrop, creating a suspenseful and emotional story of survival, redemption, and destruction. The film will hit theaters on August 30th. Moviegoers will experience a riveting blend of personal drama and high-stakes crime thriller.
