Ana de Armas vs. Keanu Reeves: Showdown Teased in New Ballerina Trailer

Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick in Ballerina.

Lionsgate has released the official trailer for Ballerina, the latest installment in the John Wick franchise. Directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten, the film stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a skilled assassin-in-training within the Ruska Roma underworld.

Set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve as she embarks on her deadly training under the guidance of The Director, played once again by Anjelica Huston. Ian McShane reprises his role as Winston, the enigmatic manager of the Continental, while Keanu Reeves makes a highly anticipated return as John Wick. The film also features Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus.

Produced by John Wick veterans Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski, Ballerina promises to expand the franchise’s rich mythology while maintaining its signature action-packed sequences. The trailer teases a blend of high-intensity combat and intricate world-building, a hallmark of the John Wick series.

With Ana de Armas stepping into the assassin-driven universe alongside franchise mainstays, Ballerina is poised to become a major summer blockbuster.

The film will hit theaters on June 6, 2025.

The trailer debuted via a unique live stream event, one of its kind from Lionsgate, where viewers helped progress the melting of an ice block via a man wielding a flamethrower to unlock the trailer launch. Simultaneously, amazing prizes were given away to viewers through chat. This interactive, fan-fueled reveal was the first of its kind, allowing fans to actively participate in the unveiling of the trailer while winning prizes across all social platforms.
