Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser Go “Balls Out” in Wild New Comedy

Balls Up brings raunchy World Cup mayhem to Prime Video this April.

Amazon MGM Studios and Skydance are going all in with Balls Up, a raunchy, over-the-top comedy that blends outrageous humor with global stakes. Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film leans into bold, unapologetic comedy while delivering a fast-paced international chase story.

Streaming globally on Prime Video on April 15, Balls Up is set to bring chaos, controversy, and big laughs in equal measure.

A Premise That Goes Completely Off the Rails

The story follows Brad and Elijah, played by Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser, two marketing executives who take a massive swing with a shocking idea. Their pitch centers on a full-coverage condom sponsorship tied to the World Cup.

The plan is outrageous from the start, but things escalate quickly.

After a drunken celebration in Brazil spirals into a global scandal, the duo becomes the center of international outrage. Suddenly, they are forced into survival mode as they run from furious fans, dangerous criminals, and power-hungry officials.

As the situation spirals, Balls Up transforms into a high-energy chase packed with escalating consequences and nonstop chaos.

Peter Farrelly Returns to R-Rated Comedy

Peter Farrelly steps back into familiar territory with Balls Up. His filmography includes comedy classics such as Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Me, Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, and Hall Pass. These films defined his signature style, built on bold humor and unforgettable characters.

He later expanded into prestige storytelling with Green Book, which earned the Academy Award for Best Picture. With Balls Up, Farrelly returns to his comedic roots while applying a modern, global scale to the story.

Mark Wahlberg Brings Star Power and Comedic Edge

Mark Wahlberg leads the film as Brad, bringing his signature mix of charisma and comedic timing. His filmography spans Boogie Nights, The Departed, Ted, The Other Guys, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Lone Survivor.

That range allows him to shift seamlessly between humor and intensity. In Balls Up, he leans fully into the chaos.

Paul Walter Hauser Continues His Rise

Paul Walter Hauser plays Elijah, delivering a performance that balances humor with grounded emotion. Hauser is known for standout roles in Richard Jewell, I, Tonya, and Black Bird.

His ability to bring depth to unconventional characters makes him a perfect match for the film’s unpredictable tone.

Together, Wahlberg and Hauser form a dynamic duo at the center of the story.

A Stacked Cast Adds to the Madness

The supporting cast brings even more energy to the film. Benjamin Bratt, Eva De Dominici, and Daniela Melchior add to the global scope, while Molly Shannon, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Eric André elevate the comedic chaos.

The script comes from Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the creative duo behind Deadpool and Zombieland.
