Batgirl was canceled due to a new 10-year plan for DC films.
Adil El Arbi, one of the two directors of Batgirl, shared a photo from the canceled film. The image shared on his Instagram story features Leslie Grace as Batgirl and Michael Keaton as Batman. The film was set to introduce Brendan Fraser as Firefly. Despite being close to completion, this film would not be part of the ten-year plan for DC films. Instead, Warner Bros is looking at Marvel Studios for inspiration. Feige even sent an encouraging message to the two directors who helmed Ms. Marvel.
