Nicolas Cage, Justin Long, and Shelley Hennig lead the action thriller arriving November 20.
Nicolas Cage’s next stop is a small-town diner, and breakfast comes with a side of bullets. Best Pancakes in the County brings the Oscar winner together with Justin Long and Shelley Hennig for an action thriller built around one explosive night. Independent Film Company will release the film in select theaters and on digital platforms on November 20, 2026.
Cage plays a criminal known as The S.O.B. That name alone should tell you this diner is in for a long shift. Described as eccentric and cunning, his character gets caught in a confrontation where everyone has something to hide.
This diner has bigger problems than the breakfast rush.
The story brings rogue federal agents, a fast-talking con man, and a waitress with secrets under the same roof. What starts in an unassuming diner turns into a deadly standoff. Loyalties shift, tensions boil over, and making it out alive requires more than a convincing story.
Long stars as Cookie, while Hennig plays Dolly. With a dangerous past and hidden agendas driving the confrontation, the setup leaves plenty of room for double-crosses.
Cage reunites with his Kill Chain director.
Ken Sanzel wrote and directed Best Pancakes in the County. He previously worked with Cage on the 2019 action thriller Kill Chain and also directed Blunt Force Trauma.
The supporting cast includes Lucifer star Lauren German, Animal Control actor Ravi Patel, and Get On Up actor Brandon Mychal Smith. Kelly Greyson, Jaylen Moore, and Michael Sirow round out the ensemble.
Filmed in Arkansas, the thriller is produced by Beno Films and backed by CaliWood Pictures. Fortitude International is handling international sales.
Between Cage’s character name and a diner full of people with dangerous secrets, Best Pancakes in the County has our attention.
