Prime Video brings the iconic sci-fi franchise into a dangerous new era with an eight-episode limited series from Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group.

Prime Video has unveiled a new trailer for BLADE RUNNER 2099, offering audiences a deeper look at the highly anticipated science fiction limited series starring Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer.
The announcement took center stage at New York Comic Con, where Yeoh and Schafer joined fellow cast members Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham for a special panel exploring the next chapter of the legendary franchise.
Showrunner, creator and executive producer Silka Luisa also participated alongside executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, giving fans additional insight into the futuristic world of BLADE RUNNER.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group, the eight-episode series continues the franchise’s exploration of artificial intelligence, identity, and what it truly means to be human.
Set 50 years after the events of BLADE RUNNER 2049, the story introduces a transformed Los Angeles where humanity no longer holds the same power it once did.
Blade Runner 2099 Introduces a Dangerous New Los Angeles
The upcoming series takes audiences into a future where Los Angeles has been reborn, but humanity is no longer responsible for shaping its destiny.
Hunter Schafer stars as Cora, a fugitive desperate to escape her past. After spending her life on the run, she makes one final attempt to disappear by assuming a dangerous new identity as a Blade Runner.

However, her new role forces her into an unexpected partnership with Olwen, a Replicant portrayed by Michelle Yeoh who has only days left to live.
Together, they must track down a runaway carrying a secret powerful enough to destroy the fragile balance holding their city together.
Their dangerous mission places both characters at the center of a mystery that could change the relationship between humans and Replicants forever.
The newly released trailer expands on the franchise’s signature themes of survival, mortality, and identity while introducing a world dramatically different from the Los Angeles audiences previously explored.
With humanity’s place in society increasingly uncertain, BLADE RUNNER 2099 promises to examine the consequences of a future where the line between humans and artificial beings continues to disappear.
The story follows the events of Denis Villeneuve’s critically acclaimed BLADE RUNNER 2049, which starred Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, while introducing a new generation of characters and conflicts.
